Without fail, I get sick at the beginning of every January. A combination of too much boozing and not enough rest over the holiday season always leaves my body feeling less than amazing come the first of the year. And this year is no exception. I’ve been hit with a head-cold for the past two weeks that no amount of tea and rest seems to want to cure.
So I took to feeding my body delicious, healthy options as a means to kick this cold to the curb. Which is how I came up with this cold killing smoothie.
Ingredients (makes 1):
- 1 orange
- 1 TSP grated fresh ginger
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I tend to go vegan with my protein powder)
- 1 TSP chia seeds
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
